Island Getaway
The Island of Korcula is one of the alleged places where the famous explorer Marco Polo was born and one of the biggest islands in the Adriatic. Its location is easily accessible when coming from Dubrovnik, with a journey that takes about 3 and a half hours by road and sea.
The Old Town in Korcula looks like a mini version of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, with its city walls that were built for defense by the Venetians and many gates and towers around it. The Island offers a lot of attractions, from the famous St. Mark’s Cathedral, Strossmayer Square, other baroque and gothic churches, to its countryside filled with oak and pine trees. After sightseeing in Korcula’s Old Town, there will be a lunch break.
We will then continue to Lumbarda, a small village that is filled with small sandy beaches, where one can relax and swim in the crystal-clear sea.
